Starting on October 1st 2009, YARD will begin its 10th year of providing a creative outlet for high school students to let their imaginations run loose.Sam Dowd and Bland Hoke will provide technical and creative resources for students to explore their creative ideas. YARD is perfect for anyone looking to explore art from a different angle, or for students interested in attending art school. YARD is unpredictable, and will open doors to new opportunities you may have never considered. Interested?
YARD is open to enthusiastic and dedicated students. We have 14 spots open for you to apply for. Sam and Bland are fluent in many different art forms, materials and processes and will help develop your creative skills and expand your portfolio.
YARD is offered free of charge to high school students to get into it (art that is!). We are looking for motivated and self-directed artists to participate. We may ask you to turn off your cell phone during YARD, and will expect you are stoked to be there on Thursday's from 6-9 pm. If this sounds like a good time, please fill out the snazzy application below and be creative and outlandish in your responses. This is a good indication to us that you are willing to take risks and push it (art that is!).
